One conversation with the globe — tap any place on Earth or just ask, and the planet answers from its three agents' live data

For the naval communityON THE LIST
Sea state is the first step — live above as “Sea state — NOAA NDBC buoys & CO-OPS tidal stations,” off until tapped. Everything below is queued after it, in order. None of it is plotted yet, and nothing is claimed until a real feed is behind it.
Live vessel traffic — AISCivilian vessels only — never warship positions. Global AIS is not free and keyless at scale: free tiers need a visitor’s own key and lean on coastal receivers, with gaps mid-ocean.
Maritime safety alertsPiracy & security incidents (IMB / UKMTO), North Atlantic right whale Slow Zones, and NWS marine warnings. No clean open feed exists today, so these are listed here — not scraped into pins that could go stale.
Shore-side port picturePort conditions, tide windows, and storm approach for fleet ports such as Norfolk, San Diego, and Mayport. There is no single port-status source — conditions live with Coast Guard Homeport and individual port authorities — so Orbital Network will build its own port aggregation over time.
Family layer“Conditions where my sailor is” — a plain-language view of sea state and weather for a named ocean area or port, with no vessel or unit positions. It builds on sea state and the port picture above.
Ice edge follow-upNational Ice Center ice edge for northern routes. (NOAA CO-OPS tides & water levels now ride in the sea-state layer above, alongside the buoy readings; CO-OPS currents observations remain a follow-up.)

Listen live
Earth’s radio, place by place — non-commercial first: public, community, college & emergency stations lead every list.
Emergency & public-health broadcasts
NOAA Weather Radio and emergency-alert stations lead here — during an outbreak or disaster, this lane goes first. Every stream plays direct from the station itself.
NOAA Weather Radio is the US National Weather Service’s voice service and carries Emergency Alert System (EAS) alerts. It covers the US — anywhere else, this lane finds the nearest emergency & public-safety stations and says so when none stream. Official alerts: weather.gov · ready.gov/alerts
Pick a place — or tap a marker on the globe — and hear what’s on the air there.
Directory: Radio Browser (radio-browser.info), free and keyless. Every stream plays direct from the station itself — this page rebroadcasts nothing.
Street view
From orbit to the sidewalk — street-level photos of the place you tapped.
Pick a spot on the globe and its street-level view lands here.
NASA’s camera aboard the International Space Station, looking down at Earth as it passes.
Live from the station — a full orbit about every 93 minutes.
NASA rotates this live stream from time to time, and this stream has stopped answering — so the window steps aside rather than spin on a dead player. The station itself is still tracked live on the globe.
Live stream: NASA, via YouTube. The stream ID is re-checked periodically — if NASA rotates it, this window says so instead of playing a dead feed.
🌙 The Moon — live
Where the Moon stands over Earth right now — and the 24/7 lunar atlas, in real NASA imagery.
Computing the Moon’s position…
Stream restarting — the 24/7 lunar atlas resumes shortly
Phase, sub-lunar point and distance are computed live in this page from the Moon’s orbit — no feed, no key. Stream: Deep Sky Desk’s 24/7 lunar atlas — imagery: NASA LRO.
The whole Earth
The sunlit full disc from DSCOVR — a million miles out, holding station between Earth and the Sun.
Fetching DSCOVR’s newest whole-Earth frame…
Imagery: NASA EPIC aboard NOAA’s DSCOVR. A new whole-Earth frame posts every couple of hours.
